BACK FROM VACATION!

Hi everyone! Two days ago I got back from a cruise! I went to Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman; Belize; and Honduras. We tried lots and lots and lots of food. All of the food was free so we could get whatever we wanted. I had: Escargot, Creme Brulee, Baked Alaska, and LOTS LOTS MORE! (I didn't like some of the food though...) I also went snorkling in the 2nd biggest reef in the world! I ALSO got to swim with turtles. IT WAS SOO FUN!!

P.S. I PROMISE I will post every week from now on!

Chapter 8

Chapter 8
"Should we follow her?" Kira says nervously.
"Of course we should. Annabell is on our side now!" Kyla replies.
The hall is long and dark.
"Annabell, where are we going?" Kyla asks suddenly.
"To Darknesse’s lair."
"Oh."
"Stop!" Kira says, "We need a plan!"
"You’re right." agrees Annabell.
"Ok," Kyla begins, "Annabell will lead us to Darknesse and then she will go into the lair and act like she is still on his side then we will come in and I will kill him with my sword."
“Let me see your sword. Only pure silver will kill Darknesse.”

Kyla hands Annabell her sword.

“It is silver.”

“Good.”

"Alright," Annabell whispers, "The lair is this next door."
Annabell walks into the lair and starts talking to Darknesse, disguised as Rolan. "Hello Rolan. What are you working on?"
"Well, I-Annabell-I need to tell you something."
"Yes, I know Rolan is dead, you can go back to your original form."
"Oh, you do? I’ll change back now."
Mysterious whispering comes from the room. Kyla slowly goes up to the door and then barges in with Kira behind her.
In the room, Annabell has a sword pointed at the girls’ throats, and Darknesse looks as dark as ever.
"Annabell, you betrayed us!" Kira cries.
"Yes, and I am going to get revenge on the ones who killed my husband!" Annabell then swings her sword and it clangs against Kyla’s. The ringing of the two swords echoes down the hall.
"Enough!" Darknesse shouts, throwing both girls to opposite sides of the room. "Annabell, stop!" he says slinking over to her, as she tries to get off the ground.
"I will never stop untill I get my revenge!" she snarls as she swings her sword at him. Darknesse hits her against the wall, knocking her unconscious.
"As for you…" he turns towards Kyla, picking her up, ready to throw her against the wall.
"OH NO YOU DON’T!" Kira shouts, pulling the string of her bow tight, and then with a whoosh the arrow embeds itself into the giant dragon’s neck.
Darknesse looks surprised for a moment, and then falls to the ground in a heap, dropping Kyla onto the cold stone floor.
"KYLA!" Kira shouts rushing over to her sister.
Kyla sits up and looks around. "You killed him!" she says in amazement, “Wait, we’re glowing!”

“Cool!” Kyla shouts. “With Darknesse gone, there isn’t any darkness to stop us from glowing!”

“Annabell is dead. Darknesse broke her neck.” Kira says quietly.

“It's too bad Darknesse made her so evil.”

“Yeah, but at least she isn't trying to kill us anymore.”
Together they walk down the hall and climb up the rope. When they walk out of the castle, everyone is cheering for them.
"You’re heroes!" everyone shouts, "You’re heroes!"

Hola everyone! Sorry I haven't posed in a loooooooooooooooooooong time. I have been soooooooooooooo busy. Wanna know my schedule? (Warning this may be long:)

3 days a school week I have track untill 5:00 exept on Wednesdays I have a meet that goes until 6:00. Everyother tuesday, I have girlscouts. I babysit practically everyweek as well.Today right after track I am having a sleepover with my friend Claire*. This Tuesday, I have a chior concert. May 12 Molly* is in a musical for her chior. My school ends at 3:40. Today is also Molly's science fair, but I am missing it.

Chapter 7

Darknesse laughed and ran from the room. Once he was gone, Kyla slowly walked over to Kira. She was in a daze because she couldn’t figure out how Darknesse knew they were coming.
“Kira!” She whispers softly.
Kira didn’t move. In fact, Kyla wasn’t sure if she was even breathing!
“Kira! Wake up!”
Kyla didn’t know what to do. There was nothing she could do to save Kira. Then she remembered the potion. She rummaged around in her backpack. Finally she found the little glass vial. The purple liquid was bubbling inside. She uncorked it and poured it into Kira’s mouth.
Their mom warned them that it takes a while before the potion actually starts to work.
Kyla got up and started pacing the room. How would she get the key? She finally decided that she would use her sword to knock the key off. Then she decided that it wasn’t the best idea. What if her sword got stuck? What if she missed?
She grabbed Kira’s bow and picked up an arrow. She wasn’t very good, but aimed and fired. The arrow clinked against the key and made it swing. One more arrow set it swinging right off the hook. She held out her hand but, it landed right next to in with a clang on the floor.
Kyla raced over to the trap door and inserted the key into the lock. The lock clicked open as she twisted it. Then she slowly lifted the wooden flap on the ground. She peered into the gaping hole. She couldn’t see the bottom.
It’s probably not that far down. She thought. Then she jumped into the hole.
Kyla kept falling. The hole was way longer than she expected. A dark thought crosses her mind. What if it is just a hole? What it doesn’t go anywhere?
Finally Kyla falls on a bed. I wonder who sleeps here. She thought.
She wanders around the cave for a while until she finds a light switch. A bright glow fills the cave. Kyla looks up and sees the dark hole in which she fell into. She couldn’t see any light from the top.
“What are you doing here?” a voice whispers behind her.
Kyla spins around and sees a young woman with black hair.
“Annabell?” Kyla hear a curious voice from behind her. She spins around, again, and sees Kira hanging from the rope, just above the bed.
“YOU’RE OK!” Kyla shouts.
“Of course I am!” Kira says.
“Yeah, but, don’t you remember what happened?”
“You used the potion on me and now I’m better!” Kira finishes, dropping down from the rope, “Annabell, don’t leave!”
“You are the-the-” The young woman stammers.
“The what?” Kira says softly.
“The ones Darknesse warned me about before you killed him!”
“What? You think, Oh No!” Kyla murmurs.
“What?” Annabell asks.
“Annabell, We didn’t kill Darknesse… we killed Rolan. Darknesse switched bodies with him. I’m so sorry!” Kira tells her.
“No, not Rolan!” Annabell shrieks and fell onto the bed, weeping.
“Annabell, will you help us? We need to kill Darknesse. I bet you know where everything is down here!” Kyla says.
“Sure.” Annabell stood up and started walking down the hall.

Amazing Race Results

The cowboys who came in last in the last episode, quickly made up time
Everyone had to dress like a Kangaroo
6 people got onto Flight 1 with a 30 mintute head start (Kisha/Jen, Zev/Justin, Margie/Luke, Jaime/Cara, Mel/Mike, Kynt/Vyxin)
5 people got on flight 2 (Flight Time/Big Easy, Jet/Cord, Amanda/Kris, Ron/Christina, Gary/Mallory)
Everyone had to choose between Spirit world and Natural world for the Detour
Everyone chose Natural World (replicating a mosaic) exept Amanda and Kris who had a U-Turn

AMAZING RACE!!!

Amazing Race has started again! It started Last Sunday. Here are all the teams:
Flight Time and Big Easy- Friends and HArlem Globetrotters from Amazing Race 15. Failed to complete a Roadblock and got a 4 hour penalty.

Zev and Justin- Best friends from Amazing Race 15. Got eliminated because they lost their passports in Cambodia.

Jaime and Cara- Friends and Cheerleaders from Amazing Race 14. Got into the Top Three.

Mel and Mike- Father/Son from Amazing Race 14. Mel is 70 years old.

Kisha and Jen- Sisters from Amazing Race 14. Had a rivalry with Margie and Luke. Eliminated because they had to use the restroom.

Amanda and Kris- Dating Couple from Amazing Race 14 that was elimintated by a U-Turn by Margie and Luke.

Luke and Margie- Mother/Son group that came in 2nd place in Amazing Race 14. Luke was the first deaf contestant on The Amazing Race.

Kynt and Vyxin- Goths from Amazing Race 12. Won 5th place.

Eliminated after having problems with a stick shift.

Ronald and Christina- Father/Daughter from Amazing Race 12.

Gary and Mallory- Father/Daughter team from Amazing Race 17. Gary is a pilot and Mallory is a winner of Miss Kentucky. Suprisingly they are one of three teams that never one first in a leg of their season, and came first in the first leg of Amazing Race 18.

Jet and Cord- Brothers and Cowboys from Amazing Race 16. Placed in Second. Sayings like "Oh my Gravy", and "Dang Nabbit"

Kira and Kyla searched the whole room for the key. It seemed to be nowhere! Then Kyla looked up.
“I see it!” she cried happily.
There is was. on the very highest point of the ceiling on a piece of thread was a golden key, embedded with rubies and emeralds.
“How will we get it?” Kira asked.
Kyla looked around. She suddenly remembered the rope she had packed in her bag. “Give me one of your arrows!” She said. When Kira handed her an arrow, Kyla tied the rope to the end. “Can you shoot the arrow up so the rope goes over the rafters?” She asked Kira.
“I think so.” Kira pulled the bow-string and released. The arrow shot over the beam and came back down on the other side. Kyla grabbed the rope and untied the arrow. Then she tied a knot and pulled it tight. Kira started climbing up the rope.
“Be careful!” Kyla says nervously.
“I am! I almost got it-WOAH!” Kira shouts as an arrow whizzed through the air. It cut through the rope like a knife through butter. She fell to the ground.
Kyla spun around and saw a man behind her. He had just shot the arrow.
“WHAT DID YOU DO?” Kyla cries.
“I just took care of a little problem.” The man said.
“Kira isn’t a problem! She’s my sister! Rolan, I thought you would be on our side after Darknesse was killed.”
“I’m not Rolan! Rolan is the one you killed a few minutes ago!”
“He-you-but, how?”
I knew you ‘pixies were coming!” He sneered, “I convinced him to switch bodies with me!”

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

For the next week, the girls trained to fight Darknesse. They practiced with swords, bow and arrows, and shields. Kira’s weapon after training with all of them was a bow and arrows. Kyla’s was the sword. Before the battle, Kira and Kyla’s mother gave them each magical items to help them. Kira got an impenetrable shield, an arrow holder that never ran out of arrows and a healing potion. Kyla got an impenetrable shield, a golden sword that would always win any battle, and a healing potion.

That afternoon, everyone in the army loaded into the ships and set off to the world of Darknesse. The journey was long and they had to sleep overnight. The last thing Kyla and Kira could do was go to sleep.

“What if we can’t beat him? What if he kills mom and dad?” Kira fretted.

“We can beat him and we will beat him.” Kyla said, “I just know we can. We will do it together.”

“OK.”

When they got there, they waited until night . That way all of the guards would be sleeping. When the sky darkened, (well it was already dark, but is was darker than it was before,) the army piled out of the ships and very slowly marched up to the castle. Kira and Kyla were in the back. The chill if the dark crept up their spines. Kyla shivered. It wasn’t because she was cold though. It was because she was scared. She tried not to act like it in front of Kira though. She new that Kira would be even more scared than Kyla was now. They slowly crept inside the castle. When they got inside, the dark mist was so thick, they could hardly see the people if front of them. You could almost hear the silence.

A few minutes later, they were in front of a huge iron door. The troops marched right up to it and opened the door. Just inside was a HUGE dragon.

“Well, well, well. Look at what we have here!” the dragon said.

One look, and Kira knew it was Darknesse.

He had dark purple scales, black horns and surrounding him was a thick black fog.

Kyla drew her sword, Kira just stood there staring at the giant dragon.

“Kira!!” Kyla whispers.

Kira looks at Kyla and says “ Can you hear them? I can hear Rolan and Annabell! They are guarding something beneath the floor. Darknesse is on a trapdoor. We have to get him off!”

“Well, what do we do?”

“I don’t know! How about-never mind. It won’t work.”

“What??”

“Well, I could distract it-him-it and you would need to kill it-him.”

“OK, lets try.”

Kira shot her arrows one at a time close to the dragon’s head. Darknesse spun around and faced the girl. He lowered his head to attack. Kyla slowly crept up behind him and raised her sword. She leaped off the ground and in one stroke swiftly cut the dragon’s head off. The wound started spewing a dark gas. In less than 30 seconds, Darknesse was no more.

“Come on!” Kira said kneeling towards the trap door. She pulled on the handle. Nothing happened. Kyla then tried. Again, nothing. They both pulled at the handle as hard as they could and the door did not even budge.

“Well,” Kyla said, “It needs a key.”

Chapter One
“Kyla! We’re going to be late! Remember it’s your first day of 5th grade!”
“Just a minute!” Kyla said, she clipped her gold choker around her neck. She never knew why, but she always wore it. She brushed her long golden hair and put on her jeans and t-shirt When she walked downstairs, her mother had breakfast set for her.
“If you hurry I will drive you to school early.”
“Ok.”
When they got to school Kyla went into her classroom. The teacher was there along with a few other kids.
“Pick your seat. You can sit anywhere you like.”said the teacher.
Kyla looked around. The tables were in groups of four. One table group was already full of boys. Another one had only one girl at it, she was reading. Kyla decided to sit there.
“Hi” Kyla said to the girl as she starts writing her name on her name tag, “What’s your name?"

The girl doesn't look up but replies “Kira, what’s yours?”

“Kyla.”

Then they look up. Kyla sees a mirror image of herself.

“WHOA!!!” They say at the exact same time.

Kira goes up to the teacher and asks ”Can I go to the bathroom?”

“Sure”

Kira leaves. Now Kyla goes up to the teacher and asks the same question.

“Sure-wait-didn’t I just say you could?’

“Oh, yeah.” Kyla says in return

When Kyla goes into the bathroom Kira is studying herself in the mirror. Kyla goes over and looks at their reflections. They were exactly the same!

“When is your birthday?” Kira asks.

“October 15.”

“Mine too!!!” said Kira.

“I was adopted in January.” Kyla said.

“Me TOO!!!” said Kira practically shouting!

“This can only mean one thing.” Kyla said, “We’re TWINS!!!!”

Chapter Two
“Wow...” Kira said, “I never thought I had a twin.”
“Me neither.”
“Oh-my-gosh!!! This is so cool!” They both say at the exact same time.
Since they both lived in the same neighborhood (only at different sides) and it was Friday, they decided to go to Kyla’s secret hideout in the woods. The next day the went to the hideout. Kyla showed Kira her choker.
“I had one like that. One day when I came here, in the woods, I came across a little girl, there was a HUGE cut on her leg. She told me to give her my necklace as if it would heal her or something. The next day she was gone. The choker had connected and it wouldn’t fit over my head.”
“Weird. Can you show me the spot where you found her?”
“Sure.”
About five minutes later, they were at the spot where Kira found the girl.
“Here is my ‘necklace’.”
Kyla’s necklace started to glow. Kira and Kyla both stared open mouthed at the floating necklace. They were amazed as it fell to the ground, they gasped as it lay there with an odd eerie glow. Then the trees started moving and then, a doorway appeared!
“Let’s go inside!” Kyla said excitedly.
“I don’t know, I mean this doorway just appeared. Isn’t that a little weird?”
“No-well yeah, but I want to explore it! Please Kira! Will you come with me?”
“Fine.”
Then they enter the door.

Chapter 3
When they go through the door they enter a magical world. They are in a golden meadow and there is a little girl, who looked about 6 or 7 years old, with long golden hair, picking little golden buttercups.
“Hi, what’s your name?” Kyla asks the little girl.
The girl looked up and with a surprised look on her face, she ran down the meadow. Both the girls run after. Soon they come across a beautiful golden castle.
“Wow,” Kira says, “Everything here is so........ golden.”
“I know.” Kyla said in response.
Just then, a woman came out of the castle. Her golden hair was in a braid down her back. She gasped and ran back in. A few moments later, thousands of people came out of the castle. They all looked like normal humans except they had glimmery wings on their backs.
“Welcome to the land of the Sunpixis.” Said a tall man, he seemed like the only one who had brown hair.

Eventually when Kyla found her voice, she said “Did you say Sun-PIXIES? You don’t look like pixies to me.”

The man laughed. “Not pixies! We are Sunpixis. Long ago the ones before us came from the sun. The sun is our power source. If the sun dies, we die.”

He and a tall women stepped forward she too had brown hair. “You are not human.” he said “I am your father and this is your mother. You are our daughters. Princesses of the Sunpixis.”

Kyla and Kira stared at them in disbelief.

No wonder they seem so familiar! Kira thought

“Welcome Home.” Their Parents said, “Welcome Home.”

Chapter 4

When Kyla and Kira’s parents placed what used to be their chokers on their heads they realized the chokers were now tiaras. Then the girls felt their shoulder blades growing. Only it wasn’t their shoulder blades. It was WINGS!! They were like fairy wings, but they were the colors of the sunset.

A week ago, Kyla and Kira would have never thought they would have been princesses of the Sunpixis. Actually, a week ago, they never knew each other even existed!

One day when Kyla was in the meadow, a strange dark mist hung over the hill. It seemed to be killing the plants and it was spreading.She ran back to her father and showed him the mist. Afterwards Kyla and Kira overheard their parents talking.

“What are we going to do?” asked the Queen.

“I don’t know what we are going to do, but I do know one thing,” the King said, “Darknesse is upon us!”

“What is the Darknesse?” Kira asked.

Her parents jumped.

“Well,” her father said, “A long time ago there was a Sunpixi named Rolan. He was one of the messengers. One day he fell through one of the portals connecting from our world to earth. He stumbled around, wondering where he was. Then he saw a mortal girl and fell in love with her, she would not be accepted by the Sunpixis because she was human. Her name was Annabell. When Rolan returned to our world, he brought Annabell with him. The king banished Annabell, and Rolan left to stay with Annabell. Then a dragon, named Darknesse found them. Darknesse wants to destroy us so he can destroy earth. We are the only reason he doesn’t. Instead of fire, he breathes a mist that stops any living thing from breathing. That is what you saw outside, Kyla. Even though he can stop us from breathing, the sun will kill him. That is why he wanted to recruit Rolan and Annabell. They won’t die if the sun rays hit them.”

“So what are we going to do about it?” Kira asks.

“Well, girls, we need to fight him.”

“Father?” Kyla asked suddenly, “Why do you have brown hair and everyone else has gold?” ‘

“Well, I was poisoned by Darknesse. I was healed, but my hair never turned back.”

When the sky darkened, (well it was already dark, but is was darker than it was before,) the army piled out of the ships and very slowly marched up to the castle. Kira and Kyla were in the back. The chill if the dark crept up their spines. Kyla shivered. It wasn’t because she was cold though. It was because she was scared. She tried not to act like it in front of Kira though. She new that Kira would be even more scared than Kyla was now. They slowly crept inside the castle. When they got inside, the dark mist was so thick, they could hardly see the people if front of them. You could almost hear the silence.

A few minutes later, they were in front of a huge iron door. The troops marched right up to it and opened the door. Just inside was a HUGE dragon.

“Well, well, well. Look at what we have here!” the dragon said.

One look, and Kira knew it was Darknesse.

He had dark purple scales, black horns and surrounding him was a thick black fog.

Kyla drew her sword, Kira just stood there staring at the giant dragon.

“Kira!!” Kyla whispers.

Kira looks at Kyla and says “ Can you hear them? I can hear Rolan and Annabell! They are guarding something beneath the floor. Darknesse is on a trapdoor.

There was a forest by Kylee’s new house.

“Mom! I’m going to the forest!” Kylee said. As Kylee was walking, she came across an old shack. I wonder what’s inside Kylee thought. When she walked in she wasn’t in the shack any more. She wasn’t even in the forest! She was on a raft in a lake. She paddled to shore and looked at her reflection. She realized her long blond hair and bright blue eyes were gone. In their place was short black hair and dull grey eyes. She looked down she saw her favorite tee shirt and her old patched blue jeans were gone also. She now wore a grey dress. A couple days went by, and Kylee had seen NO humans, OR animals. She had caught fish from the lake and cooked them over a fire. She found shelter under a cliff near the lake.

“Kylee, I know why you’re here,” a voice behind her said one day. Kylee jumped in surprise and looked around. A tall, dark haired, grey-eyed boy looked at her.

“Who are you? How do you know my name? Where am I? Why exactly am I here?” Kylee shouted.

“I’m Ben,” he said. “I know you because your sister Rayna used to talk all about you when she first came to the world of Noriana. You are here to get her. Noriana is a queen, this land is named after her. ”

“Rayna....” Kylee thought about her red haired, brown-eyed older sister who disappeared when Kylee was three. “She’s alive?”

“Yes, she’s alive. She works for Queen Noriana. Like you, her hair and eye color have changed, so you probably won’t recognize her. Queen Noriana changes names to make people forget who they are and they can’t get back to their real home. You will have to remind Rayna who she really is so you can both go back home.”

After five minutes of walking, Kylee and Ben arrive at Queen Noriana’s castle.

“Follow me.” Ben says quietly as he leads Kylee through the thick hedges. “You will need to get a job with Bella.” Ben noticed the confused look on her face because he said, “Bella is the serving maid, Rayna works for her.”

“So, if Bella gives me a job, I would be able to talk to Rayna and convince her she is not...” She paused, wondering what Rayna’s name became in this world.

“Sara,” Ben said. “Her new name is Sara.”

“Ok, convince her she’s not Sara and take her back home.”

“Yes. Well, first we need to get you a job with Bella. We will change your name to Kim, that way the Queen won’t know your real name.”

“Okay.”

As they walked down the palace hall, Ben pointed out a girl with long black hair and black eyes. “That’s Rayna,” he said. It was all Kylee could do to keep from shouting her sister’s name. A few minutes later, they were in Queen Noriana’s room.

“This is Kim,” Ben said, “she is looking for a job as a serving maid.”

“Very well,” the queen said disapprovingly, “but you must sign these forms.”

After Kylee signed the paperwork, the queen said, “Now, your name belongs to me now. Your new name will be Anna. Ben, take her to Bella who will find Anna a mentor.”

“Yes, your highness,” he replied. “Follow me, Anna.” Kylee followed him out the door.

Bella’s room was just down the hall, so it was a short walk. When they arrived Ben introduced Kylee, as Anna, to Bella.

“Well, let’s see, who is already a mentor…” Bella said as she looked through her files. “Your mentor will be Sara.”

Kylee tried her best to not look too happy as Bella called for her sister.

“Well, new girl, I am Sara, your mentor.” Rayna said warily. “Come, we have work to do.”

Kylee followed Rayna to the wash house, where all the queen’s clothes are washed. When they got there, Kylee asked Rayna if she remembered her old home.

“I don’t. That was many years ago,” Rayna replied quietly

Kylee remembered that Rayna came to this world nine years ago.

“Did you have any sisters?” Kylee asked.

“I don’t remember.”

“I do, she has red hair and brown eyes.” said Kylee.

“People can’t have RED hair!”

“In our world we can.”

“What do you mean ‘OUR World’?”

“Well… You’re my sister!”

“No, I’m not”

“Yes you are! I’m Kylee, your little sister! You’re Rayna!”

“Kylee…” Rayna said slowly, “I’m Rayna; you’re Kylee, oh-my-gosh! Kylee, the last time I saw you, you were only three!”

“Yeah! You remember!” Kylee hugs her sister.

“Now, we need to get back home. The only problem is getting past the queen.”

“Right.”

“Let’s wait till tomorrow. We’ll see if Ben can help us.”

As Rayna and Kylee finished the Queen’s laundry and carried it back to the castle they formed a plan. They would wake up early in the morning to avoid the guards, then they would wake up Ben to help them get back home.

“I can’t wait to see our house again!”

“We moved a couple of weeks ago, Rayna.”

“Oh. That sounds awesome!”

The next morning, Rayna and Kylee got up early.

“Ben!” Rayna called loudly, but Ben just rolled over.

“Ben!” Kylee whispered. When he didn’t respond, Kylee clapped her hands loudly in Ben’s ear.

“Whydija do zat?” Ben moaned, his words slurred together.

“We need to get out of here!” Rayna said, “We need your help.”

“Ok,” he said, “Just let me wake up first.” Once he was fully awake he made a plan. “At about 7 o’clock, a portal opens. At that time people can go in and out of this world. You’ll escape then.”

At the lake where Kylee first arrived, Rayna and Kylee got on a raft and paddled to the middle. At that moment a hole opened and sucked the girls into it. They weren’t in the lake any more, they were in the forest.

When they walked home, Rayna spoke the words she knew her mom would want to hear.

“Mom, I’m home!”

When Kyla and Kira’s parents placed what used to be their chokers on their heads they realized the chokers were now tiaras. Then the girls felt their shoulder blades growing. Only it wasn’t their shoulder blades. It was WINGS!! They were like fairy wings, but they were the colors of the sunset.

A week ago, Kyla and Kira would have never thought they would have been princesses of the sunpixis. Actually, a week ago, they never knew each other even existed!

One day when Kyla was in the meadow, a strange dark mist hung over the hill. It seemed to be killing the plants and it was spreading.She ran back to her father and showed him the mist. Afterwards Kyla and Kira overheard their parents talking.

“What are we going to do?” asked the Queen.

“I don’t know what we are going to do, but I do know one thing,” the King said, “Darknesse is upon us!”

“What is the Darknesse?” Kira asked.

Her parents jumped.

“Well,” her father said, “A long time ago there was a Sunpixi named Rolan. He was one of the messengers. One day he fell through one of the portals connecting from our world to earth. He stumbled around, wondering where he was. Then he saw a mortal girl and fell in love with her, she had black hair and would not be accepted by the Sunpixis. Her name was Annabell. When Rolan returned to our world, he brought Annabell with him. The king banished Annabell, and Rolan left to stay with Annabell. Then a dragon, named Darknesse found them. Darknesse wants to destroy us so he can destroy earth. We are the only reason he doesn’t. Instead of fire, he breathes a mist that stops any living thing from breathing. That is what you saw outside, Kyla. Even though he can stop us from breathing, the sun will kill him. That is why he wanted to recruit Rolan and Annabell. They won’t die if the sun rays hit them.”

“So what are we going to do about it?” Kira asks.

“Well, girls, we need to fight him.”

When they go through the door they enter a magical world. They are in a meadow and there is a little girl, who looked about 6 or 7 years old, with long golden hair, picking little golden buttercups.
“Hi, what’s your name?” Kyla asks the little girl.
The girl looked up and with a surprised look on her face, she ran down the meadow. Both the girls run after. Soon they come across a beautiful golden castle.
“Wow,” Kira says, “Everything here is so........ golden.”
“I know.” Kyla said in response.
Just then, a woman came out of the castle. Her golden hair was in a braid down her back. She gasped and ran back in. A few moments later, thousands of people came out of the castle. They all looked like normal humans except they had glimmery wings on their backs.
“Welcome to the land of the Sunpixis.” Said a tall man, he seemed like the only one who had brown hair.

Eventually when Kyla found her voice, she said “Did you say Sun-PIXIES? You don’t look like pixies to me.”

The man laughed. “Not pixies! We are Sunpixis. Long ago the ones before us came from the sun. The sun is our power source. If the sun dies, we die.”

He and a tall women stepped forward she too had brown hair. “You are not human.” he said “I am your father and this is your mother. You are our daughters. Princesses of the Sunpixis.”

Kyla and Kira stared at them in disbelief.

No wonder they seem so familiar! Kira thought

“Welcome Home.” Their Parents said, “Welcome Home.”

“Wow...” Kira said, “I never thought I had a twin.”
“Me neither.”
“Oh-my-gosh!!! This is so cool!” They both say at the exact same time.
Since they both lived in the same neighborhood (only at different sides) and it was Friday, they decided to go to Kyla’s secret hideout in the woods. The next day the went to the hideout. Kyla showed Kira her choker.
“I had one like that. One day when I came here, in the woods, I came across a little girl, there was a HUGE cut on her leg. She told me to give her my necklace as if it would heal her or something. The next day she was gone. The choker had connected and it wouldn’t fit over my head.”
“Weird. Can you show me the spot where you found her?”
“Sure.”
About five minutes later, they were at the spot where Kira found the girl.
“Here is my ‘necklace’.”
Kyla’s necklace started to glow. Kira and Kyla both stared open mouthed at the floating necklace. They were amazed as it fell to the ground, they gasped as it lay there with an odd eerie glow. Then the trees started moving and then, a doorway appeared!
“Let’s go inside!” Kyla said excitedly.
“I don’t know, I mean this doorway just appeared. Isn’t that a little weird?”
“No-well yeah, but I want to explore it! Please Kira! Will you come with me?”
“Fine.”
Then they enter the door.

“Kyla! We’re going to be late! Remember it’s your first day of 5th grade!”

“Just a minute!” Kyla said, she clipped her gold choker around her neck. She never knew why, but she always wore it. She brushed her long golden hair and put on her jeans and t-shirt When she walked downstairs Her mother had breakfast set for her.

“If you hurry I will drive you to school early.”

“Ok.”

When they got to school Kyla went into her classroom. The teacher was there along with a few other kids.

“Pick your seat. You can sit anywhere you like.”said the teacher.

Kyla looked around. The tables were in groups of four. One table group was already full of boys. Another one had only one girl at it, she was reading.. Kyla decided to sit there.

“Hi” Kyla said to the girl as she starts writing her name on her name tag, “What’s your name?"

The girl doesn't look up but replies “Kira, what’s yours?”

“Kyla.”

Then they look up. Kyla sees a mirror image of herself.

“WHOA!!!” They say at the exact same time.

Kira goes up to the teacher and asks ”Can I go to the Bathroom?”

“Sure”

Kira leaves. Now Kyla goes up to the teacher and asks the same question.

“Sure-wait-didn’t I just say you could?’

“Oh, yeah.” Kyla says in return

When Kyla goes into the bathroom Kira is studying herself in the mirror. Kyla goes over and looks at their reflections. They were exactly the same!

“When is your birthday?” Kira asks.

“ I was adopted. I was 3 months at the time so I am turning 11 in October.”

“Me too!!!” said Kira.
